Question 1

How far in advance should we book our wedding film?

Accepted Answer

We recommend reaching out as soon as your wedding date is confirmed. Availability is limited, especially during peak wedding season, and your date is not officially reserved until your booking is complete.

Question 2

How do we reserve our wedding date?

Accepted Answer

Start by submitting an inquiry with your wedding date and a few details about your plans. We’ll confirm availability, help you choose the right film experience, and provide the next steps for officially securing your date.

Question 3

Do you travel beyond the Twin Cities (Mpls / St. Paul)?

Accepted Answer

Yes! While S42 Wedding Films is based in Minneapolis, we’re available for weddings throughout Minnesota and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on the location.

Question 4

How many videographers will be at our wedding?

Accepted Answer

This depends on the film experience you choose. The packages, "The Singular Moment" and "Standard Wedding Highlight", include one videography. Our "Wedding Home-Video Film" includes two videographers. You can alway add more videographers (limit 4).

Question 5

Will our vows and speeches be recorded?

Accepted Answer

Not automatically. Professional audio is an important part of how we preserve your wedding story. Depending on your selected film, we can capture moments such as vows, speeches, ceremony audio, and the voices of the people closest to you.

Question 6

How long will our finished wedding film be?

Accepted Answer

Film length depends on the experience you choose. Rather than stretching your story to meet a specific runtime, each film is edited intentionally around the moments, people, and emotions that shaped your day.

Question 7

Can we choose the music for our wedding film?

Accepted Answer

We carefully select licensed music that complements the feeling and pacing of your film. If you have a particular style, mood, or musical direction in mind, we’d love to hear it during the planning process.

Question 8

Can we request changes to our film?

Accepted Answer

We want your wedding film to feel like something you’ll be excited to revisit for years to come. Couples are welcome to let us know if there’s anything they’d prefer to have removed from the final film. Before your wedding day, we’ll also learn about your preferences and what matters most to you so we can approach your film with those details in mind.

Question 9

When will we receive our wedding film?

Accepted Answer

Your estimated delivery timeline will be outlined before booking. Wedding films require thoughtful editing, audio work, color grading, and storytelling, and we’ll keep you informed throughout the post-production process.

Question 10

What makes an S42 Wedding Film different?

Accepted Answer

We approach wedding films as personal time capsules—not simply recaps of an event. Our focus is preserving the movement, voices, relationships, and small moments that allow you to experience your wedding in a way photographs alone cannot.

Question 11

Do you do photography too?

Accepted Answer

We unfortunately do not provide wedding photography services. We strictly create wedding films.
