TEAM
Meet the team materializing your vision.
Ramsey Sorrells
Ramsey Sorrells is the Executive Director of the LASAA Art Committee and event. While he may not be a painter, ceramicist, or musician, Ramsey embraces the art of business. After pausing art shows in 2024, he felt inspired to assemble a committee of artists and entrepreneurs to revive an event the city has been longing for. As a real estate strategist in the Twin Cities, Ramsey is passionate about connecting his community and clients to the rich cultural and artistic experiences this event has offered in the past—and will continue to provide. He is eager to make this year’s event more special and memorable than ever.

Rashawnda Scott
Rashawnda owns Pieces of Kandakes Jewelry. Women's Empowerment MPLS (WEPMPLS) is a radiant brand dedicated to uplifting women through the art of jewelry. It illuminates diverse avenues, such as fashion shows, art exhibitions, confidence-boosting events, and esteem-enhancing panels, while championing the essence of self-care.
Founded in 2017 in the heart of Wichita, Kansas, and officially unfurling its wings in 2021 in Minnesota, Pieces of Kandakes has touched the lives of over 600 women through its extraordinary collections and initiatives, including five annual Women Empowerment project shoots and launch celebrations. In 2021, RaShawnda was honored to become the first jewelry brand representative to grace a fashion panel at the illustrious Minnesota State Capitol.
As an artist, I am committed to being a beacon of hope rather than merely observing persisting struggles. It is a privilege to act as a catalyst for transformation. I aspire for this event to blossom into a national movement, for the plight of underpaid artists resonates far and wide. LAASA is a reimagined art auction that nurtures growth of artists giving them more benefits one piece at a time.
LASAA Art Director

Kasey A. Robinson
As the founder of Studio Forty Two and Marketing Director + Operations Manager for the LASAA Committee, Kasey Robinson brings both strategic vision and creative passion to the table. With a lifelong background in the arts, he ensures that all marketing materials for LASAA are top-tier—sharp, bold, and unforgettable. Beyond his own practice, he’s deeply committed to curating art experiences that elevate fellow artists and foster meaningful community. For him, success means everyone winning together.

Mary Doyle
M.L. (Mary) Doyle is a retired DoD public affairs officer who served in the U.S. Army at home and abroad for more than three decades as both a soldier and civilian. Mary calls on her military experiences in her writing which includes several books of fiction and nonfiction in multiple genres. In her travels, Mary appreciated and collected art in many forms, from wood carvings, to baskets, sculpture to paint. She will serve on LASAA’s Art Committee by assisting marketing efforts with her media engagement skills. An avid crocheter, she eagerly hopes to engage with fiber artists to ensure their inclusion in the art and creative conversation.
LASAA PR Specialist

Tilyn Hollis
Tilyn Hollis is the MC and Auction Director (not sure of my actual title) of the LASAA Art Committee and event. Tilyn has been curating and assisting with art shows for about a decade and aims to use his experience in the art, music, and fashion world to raise the bar in what a silent art auction can be. Outside of art shows, Tilyn is the lead project manager for Aviellah Curriculum, and a self proclaimed serial entrepreneur. Tilyn always looks to make connections and prioritizes community in any of his business endeavors. He is more than excited to help create and host one of the best art events the city has to offer!
LASAA Auction Manager

Yes, the core team consists of just one - but depending on the project or the task, I will hire out other creatives to help make the project come to life.
