
Apply for Everyone's a Critic (S1)
The first season of Everyone's A Critic is upon us. We are seeking 25 traditional visual artists working in acrylic, oil, graphite, or mixed media to showcase one artwork in our upcoming season of live art critiques.
This opportunity is open to artists based in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Michigan. Selected artists must be available to attend the Season Finale on April 16th in Minneapolis, MN.

How 'Everyone's a Critic' works
Application Opens January 26 / Deadline February 9 at 11:59 PM
1. Fill out our super quick artist application.
2. Once the application closes on Feb. 9, our Artist Selection Committee will select the 25 Artists the following day.
3. You'll receive an email from us within 48 – 72 hours with your application status.
4. If you're accepted, you'll be required to attend the Season Finale event on April 16th with your selected artwork to display for the evening. Optionally, you can submit your artwork in the silent art auction portion of the event.
5. Leading up to the Season Finale event, we'll release weekly episodes on Youtube. Each episodes is an internal critique of 5 of the 25 artworks in the season.
6. Community can vote on their favorite artworks each week to help us determine who advances to the Final Critique.
6. The Final Critique at our Season Finale Event will have 3 official judges. The audience voice matters too!
7. One Artist will be reigned the Season Champion and be awarded the Critics Choice Award, an art gift card, and more.

Who should apply?
This artist call is open to all visual artists (ages 16+) that practice the following: painting, graphite/pencil, photography, and mixed-media.
As long as you can bring the physical artwork to the event in Minneapolis, Minnesota and it can fit on an easel, you’re good to apply!

First off, we totally get it — being an artist comes with plenty of expenses. We’re artists too, which is why we keep our application fee as low as possible.
Your application fees and event tickets help us cover production costs and reinvest back into what matters most — creating more dope opportunities for dope artists.
Until we’re able to secure more sponsorships or reach full sustainability through community support, we’ll be charging a small fee for applications. We appreciate your understanding and your support in helping us keep this creative movement alive.
