“Alright from the Top”

For this one, I’ve always ALWAYS have been in love with the noir style. The world, the thick atmospheric shadowing, the eras. Most importantly, anything 50s through 90s noir. And then it hit me. Jazz, how could I forget about jazz!? I’ve always thought it just midnight walks or cities brighter than the moon! No there’s a lot to learn every day! I wanted jazz on the canvas, I wanted frustration, I wanted “overcoming” it. I wanted knowing you can restart and restart until you get it perfect. So I pictured a band practicing and practicing. Countless hours, one more take.
