"IRORA"

The world moves at lightning speed and drawing slows me down. It is a fun but grueling discipline where some days I can create something in thirty minutes and others might take me months. The fun is in randomness. The blend of spirituality, language, culture, music, and the physical body is where I am at. I find that through these channels I have my strongest expression of self.

My work inspires introspection and is thought provoking, it is a mirror and a deep discussion.

I believe I make art to connect and teach myself and if others can see themselves within my art, then it has served its purpose.

My process usually starts with a word. That word leads me down a path and as I pull from references, I start building foundations until the piece takes shape, then I start to cruise and let my intuition drive me forward. I have a technician/adventurous approach, so I bounce between troubleshooting and exploring. I want to see how far and wide I can take this. I want to explore the similarities and dissimilarities between human nature across the world.
