Small Vase With Red Interior

This painting is one among a series of pieces I have been creating over the past few years. The paintings in this series are spacious, minimalistic, and quiet. My goal in creating this work is to compose contemplative space that invites the viewer in and allows them the room to slow down. I use a muted palette and keep the subject matter simple. My hope is that the light acts as protagonist more so than any of the objects in the composition. I hope you enjoy this painting!
