Field of Trees

Field of trees is an abstract photograph taken of a bunch of pine trees on a near vertical mountainside in Yosemite National Park.

This is created by intentionally moving the camera during long exposures. Direction, speed and time of day are just some of the variables that can affect how the image will look. I like to think of it like painting with light, the camera is like a brush and the light is the paint. All colors in the photo come from the landscape as well, with the exception of saturating some of the colors, these are colors found out in nature and no changes to hue or anything like that are made.
